Blessings continue to occur. Consider this from Gina Desmarais, daughter-in-law of Team 1 volunteer Dave Desmarais.
"I just started student teaching in the library media center at East Lyme High School and the librarian and I am working with has a small mentoring group of high school students. When the group found out about what my father-in-law was doing through your church they wanted to get involved. Their initial idea was to send some hard candy down for the children in the clinic to have as a special treat. Would this be a good idea, or would something else be better?
"I know this is a humble contribution, but the children would really like any opportunity to make even a small difference in improving the lives of other children in Haiti."
My response: "While they children would love the candy, it’s actually readily available. A better choice would be toiletries—tooth brushes, toothpaste, hand cream and face lotion, finger nail clippers, soap, shampoo, etc. Other ideas would be granola bars or LED penlight flashlights."

Ever wonder what really matters? These small kindnesses matter most. Individuals willing to care for and about others. Thanks to the students at East Lyme High School.
