Three jars of change donated
This from a friend in Washington: "I just read your blog entries and looked at your MobileMe gallery pics of Haiti. I feel a bit self - consummed in that it has taken until now for me to really sit down and absorb the magnitude of what has happened down there. I have wanted to be more proactive, write a check, and leave "$2 for a soda" BUT our money is an unknown thing right now. Just the way it is ... we will get back out of the whole in a couple of months. However, we do have three jars of change ..."
Or, this from Carolyn Lang from Enfield who will be on Team 3: "My husband and I purchased tootsie roll pops at Costco yesterday. We had 200 in our cart, as we stood in the checkout line I said to my husband (Mike Lally) that I needed 200 more. He went to get 200 more and when he returned the man behind us in line commented that should be enough tootsie roll pops to get us home, my husband responded that he hoped that it would be enough to get me to Haiti. The man responded to that with purchasing 200 more and placing them in our cart. People are so good and so kind!!!"
