Team 4 is in Carrefour


George Momplaisir, Team 4 On-Ground Coordinator, sent an email tonight that they had arrived at the Clinic. The connection to JFK went without a hitch. They boarded at 9:05 p.m. and departed at 10:20. Got to Santo Domingo at 1:35 a.m.


Unfortunately, not all of the 90 bags could be accommodated by JetBlue. It turns out that vacation week is not a time to expect less than full airplanes and empty cargo holds. The Dominican Republic is a vacation destination. Ugh! We were able to ship 36 bags, the remainder will be handled via Gia and Jet Blue for later transport. Gus has arranged for our bags to be picked up by Hugo, our ernest-while Capitol Bus agent, and then transported to PaP via commercial shipment. Luc will retrieve them there and get them to Carrefour. Logistics are about90% of what we do in this enterprise. Thank you Gia. Thank you Gus.


George reports that travel went well from Santo Domingo to Haiti and food was picked up in the DR. Luc met Team 4 at the US Embassy and they arrived at the Clinic late on Friday.
